About Ipple Tipple Beer Festival
Ipple Tipple Beer Festival runs alongside the superb annual Ipplepen Village Show.
Our aim each year is to provide a varied selection of locally produced South Devon beers and ciders. There will be beers & ciders to sample ranging from traditional bitters & stouts, amber beers and strong ales with hand crafted local ciders.
Full details of the beers & ciders can be found on the website including the accompanying music & entertainment on the day. Ipple Tipple with Ipplepen Village Show is an annual celebration of village traditions, food, drink, music & entertainment which raises funds for projects and societies in the village.
The People Behind Ipple Tipple
What started as a bright idea between good friends turned into the first Ipple Tipple beer & cider festival in 2008.
The original committee was formed by Mike Brewer, Martin Stentiford, Rob Cowling, Kev Mortimore, Roy Olding, and Geoff King in 2008. Over the past 14 years the original format has been followed but with gradual changes to help cope with the increasing number of beers, ciders, and enthusiastic festival-goers.
After three years of enforced absence due to a global pandemic, Ipple Tipple will return in 2022, with an enthusiastic committee blending experienced “Tipplers” and new members comprising 12 people in total, things are moving on.
Meeting at key dates through the year in a convivial environment, the Ipple tipple committee.
More so than ever we are grateful for the help & support of volunteers from the village who lend a hand with the build-up for the day. Volunteers also swell the numbers serving behind the bars enjoying the fun and buzz of the crowds attending the village show. Importantly all hands are welcome to help take the showdown on the day after the festival when the festivities are over.
